Privacy Policy

Organizing a conference requires that we collect certain information from attendees. This includes things like email addresses, so that we can notify attendees of changes or news, send reminder of events or reminders to complete the registration process.

We also promote sponsorship of the conference so that we can offset the high costs of associated with the conference. These sponsors are often interested in knowing the demographics of the attendees.

The information that we collect is used solely for purpose of organizing the conference. It will not be sold to other organizations in any form. Its details will not be shared beyond a very limited number of individuals involved in organizing the conference. Summarized demographic information will be provided for the purpose of promoting sponsorship.

The "conference badge information" will be printed and used on your conference badge.

No credit card or other significant payment information is electronically collected or held by the Ontario Linux Fest. This information is collected and held under the privacy policy of the payment gateway partner we have chosen. Telephone, fax, cheque, or in-person payments are handled in a typical manner and the risks associated with payments of those types are no different that you experience elsewhere.

All data is held by our organizing partner, Net Direct Inc., who provides Internet, telephony and financial services for our non-profit event.
