During the 2003 North American Blackout which affected approximately 50 million people, many data centres went down, primarily due to backup generators failing to start. The Data Fortress maintained 100% uptime during the blackout and all subsequent power outages. Our connectivity through Atria Networks was continuous. We test our backup power systems weekly, and perform regular preventive maintenance on our generator to ensure that it will start every time.
