The 2008 Ontario Linux Fest went incredibly well. Our speakers delivered excellent presentations that were well received. I want to thank all the speakers for the hours of preparation, the travel and expense of coming to Toronto.

Thank you for your interest in the Ontario Linux Fest conference, however on-line registration is now closed so that we can prepare for the conference.

You can still attend the Ontario Linux Fest. On-site registration is open during the welcome party Friday October 24th at 8pm and on Saturday October 25th from 8:30am until the end of the show.

If you plan on registering or paying on-site the attendance fee is $60 and because of the grass roots nature of the conference payment is accepted in cash only.

We look forward to a great conference and we hope to see you there.

The Ontario Linux Fest 2008 poster is now available.

Here is a great way to help support the Ontario Linux Fest and proudly show your software preference. Display the 2008 poster in your office, cubicle, break room, server room, computer store, library, dorm room, classroom, or the back window of your car. Have your spouse or significant other take it to work or school. Take the time to visit your alma matter and bring along a few to post. Head off to the local computer store with a few posters and while you're there check out the new Linux powered UMPCs.

The 2008 Ontario Linux Fest Conference is on-track to be the best Ontario Linux Fest yet.

Jon 'maddog' Hall and Jeremy Allison are our featured speakers this year. I for one am looking forward to seeing both in person and hearing what will be informative and inspiring presentations. Both are invited and encouraged to join us for the welcome party and the reception party and I'll be glad to share a drink and a conversation with them. I encourage you to register for the conference so that you can share the experience.

Hello Linux Fest Fans!

It's coming! Ontario Linux Fest 2008 is a GO! We have picked a venue
and a date, and we can't wait to hear from you. You gave us great
feedback at the event last year, so we're building on our success. You
said that you loved the Birds of a Feather Sessions, and the Hands-on
Demo Room, so we're binging them back. You said that you loved the
exhibition area and the dot-org pavilion, so we're bringing those back
too! You said that you loved the welcome party and the wrap-up
reception, so we'll be doing that again. The social mixing at these

Ontario Linux Fest will be held on Saturday, 25 October 2008, in
Toronto. We couldn't be more excited about our plans. We expect to
build on the success of our 2007 event (Hey! We're annual now!) with
more presentations in more tracks, the return of our popular Hands-on
software demo room, and all of the Birds of a Feather, dot-org pavilion,
exhibition hall and meet-space social networking you've come to
expect.
